Precise machine-level electrical monitoring, power factor penalties tracking, and specific energy consumption per piece.
The Problem
The monthly electricity bill is one number. Owners cannot tell which machine, line or shift uses the most power, or how much goes to machines left running idle. Low power factor and peak-demand charges quietly add cost.
The Sensor
A 3-phase energy meter with clamp-on CTs reads voltage, current, kWh, power factor and demand. It can be installed per machine, per line or at the main incomer. Readings are sent to the gateway at regular intervals.
The Dashboard Result
- kWh per machine, line, shift and day
- Energy per unit produced, when combined with the Piece Counter
- Power factor and peak demand trends, with alerts
- Idle-time power consumption
- Monthly cost estimate against the previous month
How It Improves Performance
- Lower power cost: idle machines and peak loads become visible.
- Penalty avoidance: early alerts on power factor and demand limits.
- Better pricing: energy cost per piece goes into product costing.
- Sustainability reporting: consumption data is ready for audits and customer requests.
Best For
Energy-intensive processes: furnaces, heat treatment, compressors, dyeing, foundry, plating and large motor loads.
